We’ve enjoyed the Euros – including members of VG Tips backing Italy to win the tournament, at odds of 10/1, before a ball was kicked. Now it’s time for those who like to bet on football to prepare for a season of profitable punting in the English and Scottish leagues, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
Before the Premier League begins this Saturday, we’ve already enjoyed six winning bets on the first weekend of the EFL season and the second weekend of the Scottish season. You can read about that via this link.
Subscribers to VG Tips will first receive weekend football tips for games in England and Scotland between now and the end of 2021. Then, from January 2022 until the end of the domestic season, they will receive both midweek and weekend football tips. The Champions League knockout stages will be analysed, previewed and subscribers to VG Tips will receive betting tips for that competition, along with the English FA Cup and Cup competitions in Scotland.
On September 1st those of you signed up to VG Tips will receive my famed early season predictions for the remainder of the campaign. I’m waiting until the day after the transfer window closes to offer my tips for titles, promotion, relegation, top 6 finishes, top goalscorers and much more.
Last summer, before the 2020-21 season began, I offered winning tips in the Premier League, Championship and Leagues 1 & 2.
West Brom to be relegated at odds of 11/10, Fulham to be relegated at Evens. Top 4 finishes for Manchester United at odds of 8/15, Chelsea at 1/2 and a top 10 finish for Everton at 4/6.
In the lower leagues, my pre-season predictions included Blackpool to be promoted at odds of 5/2, Sheffield Wednesday to be relegated at 5/2, a top 6 finish for Oxford United at 5/4, Cheltenham Town to be promoted at odds of 10/3 and a top 7 finish for Tranmere Rovers at 4/6.
My colleague Robert Ryan has already offered members his pre-season predictions for honours north of the border
Many of my followers have been with me for years or even decades and enjoy betting on football. Single bets, such as which team will win a game, which player will score anytime or first, and my big paying accumulators. We’ve savoured countless winning tips down the years and betting on football has contributed greatly to ensuring that, since 1998, I have ended each year ahead of the bookie.
