January winners at VG Tips

January winners at VG Tips

2022 got off to an excellent start for fellow racing punters who are members of VG Tips. The first weekend saw us enjoy 8 winning racing tips from 10 races selected.

New Year’s Day at Cheltenham saw VIENNA COURT win for us at odds of 10/1. While over in Ireland, 5/1 tip STORMY IRELAND won, as did my tips JUNGLE BOOGIE and ALLEGORIE DE VASSY. And, for the fourth year running, AL BOUM PHOTO won the Savills Chase at Tramore.

5 winning racing tips from 5 races selected on the first Saturday of the new year.

Long serving subscriber Antonia messaged me to say: “What a brilliant set of selections today. Went out, got back in time to see half the 1.25. And the winners kept rolling in. Thank you!”

The next day, GINTO competed a hat trick of winners tipped by me for the meeting at Naas. He must be in with a great chance of winning at the Cheltenham Festival next month. JEREMYS FLAME and BLUE LORD being the other two successful selections in Ireland.

Come January 8th, CONSTITUTION HILL was an impressive odds on winner who will now be well fancied to land a prize at the Cheltenham Festival.  SHANTREUSSE also won for us on the day and jockey Rachael Blackmore said of the victory at Cork: “He seemed to love the three miles today and has a big future.”

Two days later JET PLANE, tipped at odds of 2/1, flew home for us at Ludlow and in mid January OUR JET came home first on a foggy day at Wetherby, while THREEUNDERFIVE won for us again, this time at Warwick.

Across the Irish Sea at Punchestown, both BOB OLINGER and DYSART DYNAMO won for members. Each must be in with a great chance of winning a big race at the Cheltenham Festival in mid March.

Unexpected Party

4/1 tip to my followers, Unexpected Party wins

On January 22nd my 4/1 tip UNEXPECTED PARTY won for me and trainer Dan Skelton. His stable lass Flora said post race: “He looks like he should be called Martin, but you can call him a winner.” We did. That same day that JONBON won at Haydock.

Days later, at the same track, 5/2 tip ROYAL PAGAILLE won the Peter Marsh Chase. I offered each way punting members the option of Sam Brown at odds of 16/1 for that race. Sam Brown finished second to Royal Pagaille. Everyone’s a winner!

Bryony Frost rode YALA ENKI to win the Portman Cup at Taunton for the third year running. Odds of 5/6 represented value for the win.

As the month neared its close, the highlight race was the Clarence House Chase in which Energumene and Shishkin fought out a thrilling finish. I tipped SHISHKIN to win and believe this was another case when even an odds on price of 5/6 represented value. And that’s coming from me – a born and bred each way punter. You can watch that race via this link.

Shishkin was one of five winners from eight races selected for members on January 22nd. The following day, at Thurles, GERRI COLOMBE and ALLAHO won for us.

GRAYSTONE triumphed at Wetherby at odds of 9/4 and SHOLOKJACK was another winner in West Yorkshire. Other winners in January included 11/8 tip SKYTASTIC, COUER SUBLIME and FUNAMBULE SIVOLA at odds of 15/8.

My final winning racing tips in the first month of 2022 were the very impressive PIED PIPER, at odds of 11/8, and 3/1 tip ALLEGORIE DE VASSY – the second time that selection won for us last month. January also saw several double figure price each way tips finish in the rame and return placed profit.

Early February brings us the high class Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown. My tips for day one on Saturday the 5th of February will be available to members the day before. Join VG Tips now to be sure of receiving them. The Dublin Festival has been good to us in past years.

March will of course deliver the four days of the Cheltenham Festival, at which we enjoyed 10 winners in 2021. And April offers up the Aintree and Scottish Grand Nationals. Races for which I have tipped several winners in recent years.

Pied Piper

11/8 impressive winner for my VG Tips followers – Pied Piper!
