So the domestic English Premier League season is over. At last.
Manchester United and Chelsea secured the two remaining Champions League places. The players of Leicester City thought they had done enough to finish in the top four. They took their foot of the pedal and tried to coast along post lockdown. They should be almost as ashamed of themselves for this capitulation as they should for shafting the man who helped them win the Premier League, Claudio Ranieri.
Thirty years from now they will be showing their Premier League winning medals to their grandchildren. A medal they would not . . .
