While all the attention this past week has been on Liverpool winning the Premier League - understandably so - I'm more engaged with the goings on in the Championship.
At the top, West Brom have been wobbling since the resumption of football. They should hold on to the second automatic promotion place and can settle their nerves if they win at Hillsborough this evening. But the buzzy Bees of Brentford are on their tail.
Brentford, a club that never rose above the old Division Three when, as a child, my Brentford supporting dad would take me to Griffin Park for home . . .
