So he's gone. Jose Mourinho has left the building. Not before time. A club that once boasted entertainers such as George Best, Denis Law, Bobby Charlton and Eric Cantona has sunk to a depth of performance the likes of which I have not witnessed since 1974. And, no, I am not a Manchester United supporter.
Quality modern day players were undermined by Mourinho. Some were bullied. A few insulted, privately and publicly. Some others - expensive purchases and of his choosing - were 'sent to Coventry.'
I swear that had Manchester United signed Lionel Messi, he'd have been played as . . .
