It's that time of the year. Gold Cup day.
The culmination of the Cheltenham Festival is the feast of racing on offer on Friday.
There have been more very close finishes to races this year than I can recall. There was another on Thursday when Fingal Bay beat Southfield Theatre by the margin of a nose.
A nose! Southfield Theatre jockey Darly Jacob wept when the result of the photo finish was announced. For those who say sportsmanship is a thing of the past, they need only look at how winning jockey Richard Johnson consoled Jacob.
