A Tale of Two Jockeys. Bryony Frost and Paddy Brennan

A Tale of Two Jockeys. Bryony Frost and Paddy Brennan

This behind the scenes film produced by Guardian Sport offers you a fascinating behind the scenes insight into the life of a jockey. The new star in the sport, young Bryony Frost, and one of the most experienced of man in the saddle, Paddy Brennan.

The video shows him winning the 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup. I was there that day, soaked to the skin and relieved when the fallen Kauto Star got to his feet. Brennan went on to win aboard Imperial Commander, trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies. On this video I urge you to catch a peak of the then much younger brothers, Sam and Willie Twiston Davies, running alongside the track cheering Imperial Commander home. They can be seen at the bottom left hand side of the screen at 3.50 minutes into the film.

Frost works at the stables of Paul Nicholls at Ditcheat in Somerset. Bryony has been a breath of fresh air this jumps season. No platitudes, clichés or one word answers for her when interviewed after riding some big winners this season. You see her in this film with Black Corton who she will ride at the Cheltenham Festival this week.
