I was really confident about my Nap EASTER METEOR, and expressed that confidence to members. The early price of 7-2 was better than the SP price.
SHOOTERS WOOD was tipped up to members at odds of 7-2 on Friday night. The past the post price was only 11-4.
That is why I send my selections out the night before racing. So ensuring members can take advantage of early prices if they wish to.
TANERKO EMERY was a winning Nap and my selected best bet of the day. That won for members at SP odds of 7-4.
MIDNIGHT OSCAR was another Nap tip landed at odds of 2-1.
And those interested in betting odds on did well to take the early price I advised of 2-5 on FAR WEST. That one, photographed above by Michael Harris, triumphed at a much shorter price. And the most predictable win of the day came from OSCAR WHISKY which was selected for members interested in that sort of thing (and many punters are) when priced at 2-9.
Much too short a price to interest me, but I don’t criticise any profitable punters. You pays your money, you takes your choice. Profit is profit by whatever means it comes.
And some members put those two in a win double, so ensuring improved returns.
By taking the early prices, by putting the best and next best bets in a double, by all manner of means the clever members of VG Tips bashed the bookie on Saturday!
Both my best and next best bets of the day won and a VG Naps each way treble also returned profit. Three out of four Naps won, the other came second.
It was a spectacular day of racing to watch and a profitable one for many members of VG Tips.
