Members of VG Tips received analysis of, and selections in, nine races on Saturday August 22nd. We enjoyed six winners and two tips were placed at each way odds. Returns and profit from eight of those races.
The load was spread across three racecourses. The day began with a winning 5/4 NAP at York when REAL WORLD won the Group 3 Strensall Stakes in the hands of the Italian jockey Marco Ghiani, a young man destined to win many more Group class races.
It was three winners from three races selected at Sandown Park. SAFFRON BEACH was 7/1 when selected for subscribers to VG Tips. She won the Atalanta Stakes in fine fashion.
REACH FOR THE MOON, 4/6 when tipped, won the Group 3 Solario Stakes as expected and the Oisin Murphy ridden SILENT ESCAPE won a Class 3 handicap at SP odds of 11/8.
Then it was to Ireland and the Curragh. When members were sent my selections on Friday, the bookies had yet to price up the market. I knew the unbeaten POINT LONSDALE would be odds on to win the Group 2 Futurity Stakes but I was pleasantly surprised that my earlier selection in Dublin, AGARTHA, was as big as 4/1 when winning the Group 2 Debutante Stakes (top photo). Two selections at the Curragh racecourse. Two winners.
It ended a fine day of backing winners at the races, in England and Ireland. Supported also by Max Vega, my 40/1 each way tip for the big field, ultra competitive Ebor Handicap at York returning nice profit in fifth and, earlier on the card, 13/2 selection Dhushan also being placed on the Knavemire.
A very nice day at the races for myself and those who receive and read my detailed research, analysis and betting tips.
