51/1 winning football accumulator and members of VG TIPS bash the bookie

51/1 winning football accumulator and members of VG TIPS bash the bookie

On Saturday January 12th, I suggested to members of VG TIPS a League 1 football accumulator bet.

It required wins for Brentford, Scunthorpe and Tranmere, plus a draw between Bournemouth and Swindon Town. I told members of that selections service that the odds available with Bet365 equalled 51/1 and that is where I placed my own bet, which paid off handsomely. I had a tenner on the accumulator, returning profit of £511.21.

Now some members who follow my football tips got on at a variety of odds.

For example, member Michael placed the bet at his local Ladbrokes shop (see below). Some great returns for his £20 stake. But look at his relative returns compared to mine. His £20 stake returned £720. The same bet but at odds of 36/1 compared to my 51/1 with Bet 365.

From time to time, in my role as the Profitable Punter I am asked if betting on football accumulators is worth it.

Over the course of a season, the answer is an emphatic YES!

Sure, more football accumulator bets will lose than those that pay off. On the law of averages, that is inevitable. Especially if you have half a dozen or more teams in that accumulator. We have had ‘dirty dozen’ winning football accas in years past. But football results were more predictable then.

But the accumulative odds on those bets that do win will be so large to ensure that you are more than ahead of your investment at the end of the season. In my experience around a dozen or more accas pay off during the course of the season.

Now your accumulative odds may be as small as 6-1 or as large as 500-1 (a rare event, but it’s happened); but even if you only have half a dozen accumulator wins per football season, you should find yourself up on the bookies.

So, I say again, do shop around for best prices. Heaven knows there is enough competition out there these days and, if you sign up for a new online account with a bookie, the chances are they will give you your first bet free.

Football accumulators are worth playing and, at least once a week, at https://vgtips.co.uk/vgtips-sign-up/ I offer members of at least one big odds football acca for them to consider playing.

And this past week, that four team accumulator returned rich pickings for many of them.
