October got off to a flying start for myself and my loyal and lovely members of VG Tips.
October 2nd saw me offer 4 racing tips. 3 at Ascot and the other at Gowran Park. All 4 won. At least one of my subscribers put all 4 horses in a big paying accumulator.
The day got off to a positive start when my 5/2 selection PIRANESI won a Class 3 Classified Stakes. A little over half hour an hour later, 4/7 selection BERKSHIRE ROCCO won a four runner race, as expected, at SP odds of 1/2.
Over at Gowran Park, the Willie Mullins trained BUILDMEPBUTTERCUP was my first tip for the new National Hunt season. She won a Class 1 Listed Mares Hurdle at SP odds of 8/11.
The icing on the cake came when my final selection at Ascot, TYSON FURY, won at SP odds of 4/1. That was a great price. For reasons lost on me, his price drifted out from 6/5 the day before racing.
For those who put all four of my racing tips that day in some form of accumulator, that price about Tyson Fury very much boosted the returns. My own accumulator returned at odds of 39/1.
VG Tips member Alun was rewarded in a similar fashion, as displayed below. He tweeted to say: “4 from 4. Well done today Vernon.”
The flat season post lockdown has been tough for all concerned. Trainers, owners and punters alike. September was a testing month for me on the punting front. But, as I am fond of saying, profitable punting is a marathon and not a sprint. You should judge your success based on twelve months, not twelve days. Too often some punters throw in the towel if they have a bad run of results. But staying power is what is required. A bad run is always followed by a good one.
Personally speaking, I am glad that the new turf jumps season proper is just around the corner. Just so long as the pandemic does not disturb the coming National Hunt season, we can look forward to seeing horses that have been trained to race throughout the winter months and without having their preparation messed up, as was the case during the past flat season.
YOU too can be a profitable punter at the end of each year. Join VG Tips as a monthly or annual member using this link.
You can join for one month only, or as a regular monthly member (the subscription for which you can cancel at any stage using your own Paypal account) or you can be in it for the long term and sign up for one year. The choice is yours.
There will not be a quartet of winning tips every. That much I can promise. But I also promise to offer you all manner of advice and guidance that will allow you to beat the bookie each and every year, as I have done since 1998.
