This past weekend a 20/1 winning football accumulator paid out for myself and several of my football loving members of VG Tips. I offered five teams to win on Saturday. They all did. Liverpool, Leeds, Wycombe, Northampton and Swindon.
A nice win for us all and proof once again that patience is a virtue for football accumulator punters. We’ve had some near misses already this season. A 20/1 winning acca makes the wait worthwhile. I’d like to thank Matt Pearson of Luton Town who was credited with a 90th minute own goal that guaranteed a Leeds United away win.
Additional single winning tips included Tottenham to win at 4/5, Peterborough at Evens, Rotherham at 19/20, Forest Green Rovers at 6/4 and both teams to score in the matches between Fulham and QPR at 4/7 and the lively clash between Manchester City and Chelsea at odds of 8/13.
Eleven winning English single tips from me in the space of 24 hours between Friday and Saturday. And from just thirteen selections. That’s before a ball is kicked on Sunday, Monday or next midweek (for which my tips are already available).
Robert Ryan in Scotland tipped Celtic to score three goals or more (they won 4-0), Hibernian to win at a nice price of 27/20 (they won 3-1), Edinburgh to win at odds of 4/5 (they won 4-3), Dumbarton to win at odds of 11/10 (they won 3-1) and Airdrie to win at odds of 4/6 (they won 1-4 away Albion Rovers). 5 winning single tips from seven selections on Saturday north of the border. Well done, Robert.
That’s a total of 16 winning single bet football tips from 20 offered to subscribers to VG Tips. Plus that big pay out from my 20/1 accumulator.
I’ve heard back from subscribers to my racing and football tips service who won on that accumulator. Among them Jamie and Nobby who put those five English teams in their accas and returned hundreds of pounds of profit while Mike added three of Robert’s Scottish selections to my five teams and returned £1400 for a stake of just £13.
As I state many times, football accumulators should be looked upon as fun bets. Some days a late goal will go against you. Other days, a player scoring an own goal in the 90th minute will see you beat the bookie at big odds.
This next year of football will be a long one as, once the domestic campaign finishes in May, we have Euro 2020 to look forward to. I shall be offering tips for that competition and, before you know it, the 2020-21 domestic football season will be underway.
I judge my own success betting on football and horse racing over the course of one year. Patient, profitable punting.
