Betting on football has never been more popular with punters. For members of VG Tips, never more so than this morning.
My 12/1 football accumulator paid out for my lovely and loyal subscribers. Wins for Crystal Palace, Norwich City, Charlton Athletic and Tranmere Rovers.
I was hanging on to every minute of the final match played. Championship leaders Norwich were playing up at Middlesbrough. A victory would see the Canaries fly five points clear. Middlesbrough have been in poor form of late and fallen out of the play off places. Norwich won by the only goal of the game and a return to the Premier League looks increasingly likely.
I’ve suffered some agonising near misses on the acca betting front this season. Goals in injury time killing stone dead a bet that was destined to pay off. Referees giving or denying a penalty that had the same effect. Big paying accumulators lost for the sake of one goal. Huddersfield choosing a home fixture against Wolves to be one of their very rare wins this season
No such problem on super Saturday. The last in March. To give those of you who are not members, but considering joining VG Tips, here are examples of the previews and analysis members receive from me.
“The promotion hopes of Middlesbrough, along with the future of manager Tony Pulis, hang by a thread. Perhaps not the best time to welcome table topping Norwich City. Odds of 6/4 and 29/20 make Norwich City to win my NAP bet of the weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday have been on an impressive unbeaten run since they made a change of manager. They are only two points off the play off places but do have a tough run in of games and may just miss out. They travel to play Stoke City this weekend. Stoke have drawn five of their last six matches. So it is that I am going with a draw in this game at best price 21/10.
Carlisle United have lost form of late and must get back to winning ways soon if they are to make the play off places come May. Probably not ideal, therefore, that they go to play a Tranmere Rovers side seeking their seventh consecutive victory. Surprising then that a Tranmere win is available at odds of 11/10.”
