Members of VG Tips had a super Tuesday. 4 tips. 4 winners. A 100% strike rate on the day and all of the winners were priced odds against.
Wood Yer won at odds of 10/1. Odds that surprised and pleased me in equalled measure.
How on earth the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained horse went off as the outsider in a field of five I shall never know. His talented son Sam was in the saddle and, as I told members of VG Tips via e-mail, Wood Yer and Sam get on well. They are now four wins from five outings.
When I tipped Wood Yer the best price was 7/1. On the day the price drifted to a double figure one. I could hardly believe my eyes.
But that only reinforces what I have banged on to members for many years. The market can get it wrong, and does get it wrong.
It doesn’t happen every day. Not even every week these days. But it does happen and I am always looking out for when it does.
Even at 7/1 Wood Yer was generously priced. At 10/1 he was a steal. Sam Twiston-Davies rode the opposition into the ground and led almost from start to finish.
The other winning tips offered to members on Tuesday, at the prices on offer when selected for members, were Rose of the Moon at 7/2, Cogry at 9/4 and Tiqris at 5/4.
Anyone placing a £5 each way stake combining all four winning tips would have turned a £10 overall stake into winnings of over £1668.00 pounds.
