There has been a rather tedious row going on in racing circles about wind operations. I was reminded of it during the night when, frankly, I could have done with such an op!
So often trainers say that their horses race better first time out after a wind op. Should they declare the information before a race, so giving punters information they may find useful? It would be nice, but a wind op does not guarantee an improvement in performance.
