Some of us recall the days when Sir Michael Stoute was my favourite trainer when it came to returning good annual profit through betting.
I miss the days when the then emerging jockey Ryan Moore was stable jockey for Stoute and the pair combined to land some of the biggest races, and some of my fondest winning bets.
Stoute did the business for VG Tips members again last Saturday when 8/1 tip Ulysses won the big race at Sandown. Albeit by a whisker.
I was pleased to hear some members took it upon themselves to put the two horses . . .
