Odds on backers. Who would be one? For as long as I can recall it has been said that constantly backing odds on shots is the fast route to the poor house. And that is true. It is why I swerve them unless I think their price should be even shorter than it is. What do I mean by that?
Let's say a horse is 4/5 but I think it should be 4/7. Then 4/5 may well represent value. I don't think 2/5 ever represents value (as Very First Time proved on Thursday). That . . .
