There are some important racing days ahead.
The Cheltenham Festival between March 13-16, the Grand National at Aintree (April 14th) and the Scottish Grand National (April 21st).
It’s worth reminding you that I tipped the 2016 Grand National winner, Rule the World, at odds of 50/1 AND the winner of the 2017 Grand National, One For Arthur, which was my ante-post tip to members when priced at 40/1 (photographed below).
It’s also worth reminding you that I have tipped the winner of the Scottish Grand Nationals at Ayr in 5 of the past 9 years, including Vicente, Godsmejudge, Beshabar and Hello Bud.
The stats over a period of twenty years confirm that I do best in big field handicaps and the larger in quantity Group class races. For as long as I can remember, I most enjoy looking for a big price each way selection that could win a big field, competitive race, but which would also return handsome profit should the horse be placed in the frame.
The pressure is on me to tip the winner of the Grand National at Aintree for the third consecutive year. As always, I’ll do my best for my lovely, loyal members.
But before that we have the exciting Cheltenham Festival.
I’ve enjoyed some good profit at the festival over the years. 2012 was a brilliant year for myself and members of VG Tips. That was when Une Artiste at 40/1 was the biggest price winner of several that year. The others included Champagne Fever (16/1), Alfie Sherrin (14/1), Brindisi Breeze (12/1) and Balthazar King (11/2).
In 2013, 25/1 tip Briar Hill was the biggest priced winner from a handful that returned profit for members. That was the year when the glorious Cue Card won the Ryanair Chase for us at a SP price of 7/2 and each way tip Celestial Halo, 40/1, returned us handsome placed profit when second in the World Hurdle.
Uxizandre (16/1) and Cole Harden (14/1) won back to back races for me in 2015, a year which also included Irish Cavalier (11/1) and shorter odds against wins via Vautour, Douvan and Faugheen.
On the final day of the 2017 festival, Defi Du Seuil won the Triumph Hurdle for us and Minella Rocco returned each way placed profit at 18/1 when second in the Gold Cup. Coo Star Sivola also returned placed profit when fourth in the last race.
As all punters know, you are only as good as your last day of betting. Celebrate winning!
I’ve had plenty of winners at the Cheltenham Festival over many years. Form study for the 2018 Cheltenham Festival is ongoing and members will shortly be receiving my analysis of certain races and any ante-post tips I have ahead of the festival beginning on March 13th.
The one month only cost for membership has been temporarily cut to £25. Or you can join as a recurring member for £20 a month, or take advantage of another price reduction, and become an annual member for only £100 – one full year of racing and football tips for £100. Those discounts end at 6pm March 12th, the night before day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival. The choice is yours.
YOU too could become a profitable punter. Not only through racing. Bookies take more bets on football than on racing. At the time of writing, it is 100 days until the 2018 World Cup kicks off in Russia.
Over many years I have offered football punters analysis and tips for several World Cups, European Championship tournaments, for the Champions League and throughout every English domestic football season.
Members of VG Tips who like to bet on football also receive from me pre-season football predictions and betting tips. I encourage them to read my analysis and make their own minds up if a suggested bet is one they want to take. Some of my clever subscribers come up with their own ideas. Or they marry their own with some of mine to deliver themselves a winning accumulator. That’s as it should be. We’re all in this together. The only person to take on is the bookie, not each other.
