In a week when Ray Wilkins, one of the classiest English footballers I ever saw at close quarters passed away, it was pleasing to see so much good football played in the Champions League. Ray would have enjoyed watching those matches.
Ronaldo's overhead kick grabbed the headlines and it was a fantastic goal. What I enjoyed most about it was his positioning. His reading of where the cross would end up and how he adjusted his body in anticipation of what he planned to do, was at least as impressive as the execution of the goal. If not more . . .
